Thinkathon 2019 Neonyt Berlin Future of Fashion Otto Group

Thinkathon AW19 Results

40 participants, split into 6 teams, put their thinking caps on to find sustainable solutions to 3 industry challenges set by Bikini Berlin, Otto Group and TCBL over 48 hours.

On the 14th and 15th January 2019 the third edition of the Sourcebook-organised Thinkathon: the hackathon-inspired collaborative ideas workshop, took place at the Old Smithy’s Drizzle in Berlin’s Friedrichshain. Participants came from a variety of backgrounds, from the fashion and textiles industry to architecture, research, marketing, tech – and even rocket science! – from across Europe, as well as Japan and New Zealand.

Experienced systems thinking coaches were on board to help navigate the Participants through development, research, prototyping and testing, as they brought their diverse expertise together. Read the results summaries after the video, shown at theFashionsustain conference in the first ever NEONYT Hub, during Berlin Fashion Week AW19.

Otto Group: The Circular Experience

How can the circular economy be more accessible, appealing and tangible for the customer?

#4 Otto Circular System

Circular community platform that offers take-back recycling and upcycling services, resale/reuse/swap shop and circular style advice. Points are awarded for returned items, which can be exchanged for sustainable products/services, or donated to enterprises/projects.
